The MNCPA holds an annual conference in October. The conference features a general membership meeting, educational breakout sessions, a chance to meet various vendors, social networking opportunities, an awards recognition events, and silent auction. Elections for the MNCPA Board of Directors positions are also held at the conference.

The conference is open to all state, county, tribal, and local law enforcement employees, and well as anyone working for a municipality in a crime prevention position. Licensed peace officers are eligible to receive POST credit hours for attending the conference.
